Satisfaction

Parent, student and teacher satisfaction
The LEAD Report is unique in that it reports performance against research based indicators of effective schooling. It provides benchmarked performance measures for our Board of Directors and School Executive team. Recommendations from this report that was completed in 2008, are being implemented to improve staff, student and parent levels of satisfaction. A report was published in the School’s weekly newsletter in Term 2, 2009.

Leadership Survey – The Year 11 students undertook an extensive review of the process for the election of School officials, resulting in outcomes that were satisfactory to the majority of the cohort.

Curriculum Deans' Review – All Senior School teachers participated in a review, conducted by an external reviewer, of the structure and leadership within subject departments. Teachers were satisfied that the current structure of their departments, while needing small internal adjustments, was suitable for a school the size of Ruyton and for the introduction of the National Curriculum. The recommendations for improvement have been noted and are being instituted.

Expanding Horizons Review – Students in Years 7-10 were surveyed. A report on feedback with recommendations is being prepared for implementation in 2010 and beyond.

Values Programme Survey – The Prep to Year 6 parents were surveyed re the Values Programme in the Junior School. Responses indicated that 85% of the parents were highly satisfied or satisfied with the programme and agreed with the Values being promoted.
